Zhang Di, Party secretary of Xianyang Polytechnic Institute, and Feng Hua, vice president, attended the event together with officials from the college's Office of International Exchange and Cooperation and its Yizhi Agriculture and Forestry College.

The conference brought together government officials, scholars and university representatives from Uzbekistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Russia and Pakistan, as well as delegates from 21 agricultural universities and vocational colleges across nine Chinese provinces and Chinese agri-businesses expanding overseas. Participants explored how artificial intelligence can improve the quality of modern agricultural vocational education and deepen practical cooperation in agricultural science, education and cultural exchanges within the SCO framework.

On behalf of Xianyang Polytechnic Institute, Feng signed the international cooperation MoU with Gulistan State University. The two institutions agreed to put in place a long-term collaboration mechanism covering joint talent cultivation, reciprocal faculty exchanges and the extension of agricultural technologies.

The signing, a tangible step in the college's efforts to align with the SCO's agricultural vocational education agenda and promote the “going global” of vocational education, lays a solid foundation for agriculture and forestry related programs to better respond to the industrial needs of Central Asia and open up two-way channels for faculty and student exchanges.

Xianyang Polytechnic Institute will use the signing as an opportunity to further deepen practical cooperation with institutions in Belt and Road partner countries and continue to raise its level of internationalization.
