Xianyang Polytechnic Institute (XYPI) has recently received appreciation letters from the Kazakh-Russian Medical University (KRMU) in recognition of its engagement in the 2nd International Scientific and Educational Conference on Innovative Technologies in Perinatology, Pediatrics, Pediatric Surgery, and the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood, hosted by KRMU.
At the conference’s invitation, Professor Wu Xujin, vice president of XYPI, delivered a video address, while two of the college’s faculty members—Dr. Zhang Yingjie and Dr. Zhu Tian—presented special academic reports. During her address, Wu reviewed the long-standing cooperation between XVTC and KRMU, outlined the promising prospects of the Sino-Kazakh “Qinling Workshop” overseas education program co-launched by the two institutions, and stressed the value of cross-border academic exchanges in advancing pediatric medical innovation.

Zhu expounded on personalized tuina (Chinese therapeutic massage) based on the TCM theories of organ and meridian systems, illustrating the application of “treatment based on syndrome differentiation.” Zhang elaborated on the TCM concept of the Five Zang-Organs and emphasized moderation in children’s diet and clothing, demonstrating the wisdom and value of traditional Chinese pediatric care.

After the conference, Nurlan Temirbekovich Jainakbayev, rector of KRMU, personally signed the appreciation letters to extend sincere gratitude. The correspondence noted that Professor Wu’s address reflected XYPI’s high regard for the event, injecting momentum into deeper institutional collaboration and Sino-Kazakh medical ties. The presentations by Dr. Zhu and Dr. Zhang were praised for fostering knowledge exchange among international experts, highlighting that their efforts to boost Sino-Kazakh medical cooperation and pediatric healthcare progress “are highly commendable.”
This recognition underscores the proactive role of XYPI’s faculty in academic innovation and global collaboration, as well as the college’s growing strength in TCM rehabilitation education and research. Moving forward, XYPI will continue to leverage academic exchanges as a bridge, promoting integrated innovations of characteristic TCM therapies and modern medicine on the global stage, and contributing to the building of the “Healthy Silk Road.”
