Xianyang Polytechnic Institute (XYPI) unveiled its landmark Sino-Kazakh "Qinling Workshop" overseas education program during the 9th International Vocational Education Exchange held in Xi'an on Wednesday. The event, organized by Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education and hosted by the Belt and Road Vocational Education Alliance, drew participation from education officials, vocational institution representatives, and industry leaders across Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and other Belt and Road partner countries, alongside over 70 domestic vocational colleges and enterprises.

Yang Weijun, president of XYPI, attended the forum, where Wang Haibo, Deputy Secretary of the Shaanxi Provincial Education Working Committee, officially inaugurated XYPI’s Sino-Kazakh "Qinling Workshop" overseas education program. The project, among the first officially approved batch, is a collaborative effort between XYPI, Almaty Sino-Kazakh International Medical Center, Kazakhstan-Russia Medical University, and the Kazakhstan Belt and Road Science Research Institute.

Designed to foster talent development for local industry, the project aims to cultivate medical professionals proficient in both Chinese technical standards and vocational skills, while also equipping them with Mandarin language proficiency and cross-cultural understanding.

Cultivating industry-ready professionals who can bridge technical and cultural divides in Belt and Road markets through this program, XYPI endeavors to contribute to local workforce development and strengthen people-to-people ties under the Belt and Road Initiative.
