A 15-member delegation comprising representatives from Kazakhstan’s Eurasian Resources Group (ERG), East Kazakhstan Technical University, Oriental Technical-Humanities College, Aktobe Automobile and Highway College, and Shaanxi ShangpinShuren Education Technology Co., Ltd. visited Xianyang Polytechnic Institute on May 20 to strengthen educational and industrial ties.

The delegation engaged in talks with Wu Xujin, vice president of the institute, along with deans of the Automotive School and the Medical School, as well as officials from the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation. Wu extended a warm welcome to the guests and introduced the college’s history, location, majors, international cooperation, highlighting its commitment to the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). She emphasized the institute’s overseas education project, the Sino-Kazakh "Qinling Workshop", and its development of globally recognized vocational standards.
"We look forward to deepening mutual understanding, exploring innovative collaboration models, and sharing expertise to advance practical cooperation in vocational education," Wu stated, underscoring the institute’s vision to foster international partnerships with Kazakhstan.
Kazakh delegates, including ERG project head Ruslan Ismukhambetov, Oriental Technical-Humanities College’s president Irgebayev Yernar, East Kazakhstan Technical University’s vice president Mashekenova Assiya and Aktobe Automobile and Highway College’s vice president Erlan Nursultanovich Safin praised the college’s innovative approaches to vocational training. They expressed keen interest in joint research, faculty-student exchanges, and skills development programs, particularly in fields such as advanced manufacturing, new energy vehicles, and medical technology.

Following the talk, the delegation toured the institute’s training facilities, including the CNC machining center at the Technician School, the new energy vehicle lab in the Automotive School, and the Human Science Museum in the Medical School. These visits showcased the college’s industry-aligned curricula and its success in integrating education with real-world applications.
The visit marks a significant step in bolstering educational and industrial cooperation between XYPI and institutions in Kazakhstan under the BRI framework. Moving forward, XYPI aims to expand its global outreach, partnering with Kazakh institutions and enterprises to establish vocational education benchmarks and contribute to building a shared future for mankind.
