XI'AN, April 27, 2025 — Xianyang Polytechnic Institute (XYPI) participated in a provincial symposium hosted by the Shaanxi China Vocational Education Association on April 27, focusing on advancing overseas vocational education initiatives. The event was attended by representatives from vocational colleges and enterprises across Shaanxi.
The forum addressed opportunities and challenges in expanding vocational education partnerships abroad, particularly with Central Asian nations. Zuo Jia, director of XYPI’s Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, highlighted XYPI's achievements in overseas cooperation, including the Sino-Kazakh "Qinling Workshop", "Chinese language + vocational skills" training programs, and joint development of international curricula. “We aim to deepen ties with ASEAN and Central Asian countries through faculty exchanges, student mobility, and resource-sharing to promote Chinese vocational standards globally,” she stated.
The association announced plans to integrate resources from colleges, enterprises, and publishers to build a provincial platform for international vocational education cooperation. The initiative seeks to foster government-institution-industry synergy and establish a “Shaanxi model” for global vocational education partnerships.
XYPI pledged to implement strategic directions and guidelines outlined by the symposium, enhance industry-education integration, and support the Belt and Road Initiative through cross-border educational collaboration.
