A delegation from Xianyang Polytechnic Institute (XYPI), led by Vice President Wu Xujin, visited Kazakhstan from April 8 to 12 to establish the "Qinling Workshop", a landmark overseas vocational education project aimed at fostering Sino-Kazakh collaboration.

The delegation held talks with Kazakh partners, including the Belt and Road Scientific Research Institute, Kazakh National Medical University, and Almaty Sino-Kazakh International Medical Center. During campus visits, XYPI promoted its vocational training models, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) rehabilitation equipment, and bilingual early childhood education resources, while showcasing traditional Chinese arts such as ink painting and paper-cutting. Vice President Wu introduced XYPI's development history, educational characteristics, and achievements in international exchanges. Emphasizing shared goals in vocational education of both countries, Wu hoped that this visit could serve as an opportunity to promote cooperation.

Agreements were reached on joint talent cultivation, curriculum development, and internship programs. XYPI signed memorandums of understanding with three institutions to advance its first "Qinling Workshop" in Kazakhstan, which was then unveiled by representatives from each party.
The newly inaugurated project, part of efforts to implement outcomes of the China-Central Asia Summit, seeks to export China's vocational education standards and technical expertise to Central Asia, strengthen industry-academia ties, and bolster workforce training across Central Asia.It underscores XYPI's commitment to advancing the Belt and Road Initiative through vocational education partnerships.
