2017 “Northwest Cup Speech Contest” held by Institute of Northwest Literature of XVTC ended today. Zhang Jinyi, the reader of “Literature in My Heart” from Medical School won the first place through firece competition.
The contest has been widely publicized and well organized. There were 12 competitors in the finals through preliminary contest and semi-finals. The theme of the speech was about Literature.
Students freely expressed their thoughts by combing three topics and their own understanding about literature. The three topics were the weight of literature, literature is always fortune and literature in my heart.
The finals were held in Classroom 301 in the Art Building. Zhang Jinyi won the first prize, Wang Jie from class 1401 of School of Chemical Technology and Lei Lege from class 1701 of Normal School won second prizes. Zhang Jiahao, Bai Tian and Zhang Minna won the third prizes.
Many students community leaders such as Wing Association, Liberary Association, Mandarin Art Association served as judges. More than 800 members of Institute of Northwest Literature participated in the speech contest.
